Scenic Helicopter Tours' fleet consists of three different types of helicopters that can accommodate from 2 to 6 passengers depending upon the aircraft.
What time should I arrive for my scheduled flight?
Please arrive about 20 to 30 minutes prior to flight time to allow time for the safety briefing.
Is there an age limit?
There is no age limit. Children ages 23 months and under qualify as a lap child. So if you don’t mind them riding in your lap, they can ride at no extra charge.
Can persons with disabilities take a flight?
Absolutely! One of their biggest thrills is to enable those who cannot hike the back country trails to still enjoy the beauty of the Smoky Mountains area.
What should I bring?
You don’t need to bring anything apart from your camera for taking video and photos. You may also bring your cellphone for taking photos. We also suggest wearing comfortable shoes, and dark-colored clothing for taking better photos. Light-colored clothing reflects on the transparent windows and can cause undesirable flares in your photos. This is why it is recommended to wear dark clothing when riding in a helicopter.

Is there a weight limit?
Max passenger / per-seat weight limit is 300 lbs. Passengers exceeding 300 lbs. can still be accommodated in the Bell Jet or Long Ranger aircraft. An additional fee may apply, payable directly to Scenic Helicopter Tours on the day of the tour.
Per FAA regulations and in the interest of passenger safety, all passengers must be weighed at check-in . Only the flight crew will have access to passenger weights, and all information will be kept confidential.
Is it appropriate to tip the pilot?
